1. High strength
Polyester (PET) has excellent tensile strength and can withstand large loads. It is suitable for high-stress environments (such as roadbeds and slope reinforcement).
2. Low elongation
It has small deformation when subjected to stress (fracture elongation is usually <15%), which can effectively restrain soil deformation and improve structural stability.
3. Corrosion resistance
It is resistant to chemical substances such as acids, alkalis, salts, and microbial erosion and is suitable for complex geology and harsh environments.
4. High temperature resistance
Compared with polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) grids, polyester has better high-temperature resistance and can quickly withstand temperatures above 200°C.
5. Anti-aging
Adding an anti-ultraviolet (UV) coating or carbon black can extend the outdoor service life (usually over 50 years).
