Steel-plastic Geogrid is a two-dimensional mesh of high-strength tensile steel wire and polyethylene. It provides an ideal interlocking system to carry and spread forces more effectively and is suitable for reinforcing large areas subject to long-term loads.
Product Name | Steel plastic geogrid |
Standard | ASTM/GB |
Raw material | Steel plastic+PE |
Color | Black |
Tensile strenghth | 20-1500Kn |
Mesh size | 128mm*128mm |
Width | 6m |
Length | 50-100m |
1. Ultra-high strength
The tensile strength can reach 200-400 kN/m (much higher than fiberglass grating), and the elongation is low (<3%), which is suitable for super-heavy load projects.
2. Strong corrosion resistance
The plastic layer isolates the steel wire from the external environment to prevent rust, and the service life can reach more than 50 years.
3. Impact and fatigue resistance
The steel wire and plastic resist dynamic loads and repeated stress.
4. Wide temperature adaptability
It can work stably in an environment of -50ºC to 80ºC, but long-term high temperatures (>80ºC) may soften the plastic layer.
5. Good flexibility
It can adapt to uneven foundation settlement and reduce the risk of cracking.
1. Heavy-duty engineering
Port yards, mine roads, airport runways, and other areas where heavy machinery frequently operates.
Railway roadbed reinforcement, especially soft foundation treatment for high-speed railways.
2. Steep slopes and retaining walls
Core materials in reinforced soil structures to prevent landslides and collapses.
3. Landfills
Used for bottom anti-seepage layer reinforcement and slope stability, resisting chemical corrosion and mechanical damage.
4. Water conservancy projects
Reinforcement and protection of embankments and river bank protection to resist water erosion and freeze-thaw cycles.
